What is The Future of Filipino Web Development?

First of all I will make small introduction on web development:

Web development is a broad term for the work involved in developing a web site for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network) . This can include web design, web content development, client liaison, client-side/server-side scripting, web server and network security configuration, and e-commerce development. However, among web professionals, “web development” usually refers to the main non-design aspects of building web sites: writing markup and coding. Web development can range from developing the simplest static single page of plain text to the most complex web-based internet applications, electronic businesses, or social network services.

For larger organizations and businesses, web development teams can consist of hundreds of people (web developers). Smaller organizations may only require a single permanent or contracting webmaster, or secondary assignment to related job positions such as a graphic designer and/or Information systems technician. Web development may be a collaborative effort between departments rather than the domain of a designated department.

We know Web changes every day. The web development industry is constantly evolving. While we may not be able to tell the day-to-day changes while it’s happening, it’s easy for us to look back to the past few months and see that a lot of things we do now are much different than what we’ve been doing before.

We know also the rapid changes in Iphone applications and social networking website.

Many of Filipino website developer and Designer go in other countries to work. Like in Singapore and Middle east.

Let’s look at some of the things I predict are going to happen in the near future in web development:

  1. Open Source and Content Management Software will be the Priority.

Most of my jobs currently consist of Joomla Development, WordPress development or specific and specialized server-side scripting (e.g. PHP). In short, web developers are beginning to work more on niche jobs such as open source software customization.

You will noticed also the continues upgrade of the Open source software like Joomla To make more easy and user friendly.

More Appreciation for Web Standards and cross Browser and Mobile/ Iphone accessible

It used to be tough to sell clients on the importance of valid/standards-compliant and semantic code, but now, with so many devices and browsers on the market, standards have become even more important in order to produce flexible and interoperable products.

With more web browsers supporting open web standards and companies chucking outsupport for proprietary software in favor of open technologies, there is a stronger demand — more than ever — for coders that are able to work with web standards well.

Developers that focus on outputting compliant code will benefit from this trend.

All the website can See on the Iphone and Mobile Phone compatible.

All people know how to make website

Yes it can be happen…most of the open source website tool now is user friendly and for the future maybe all have knowledge to used those software.

Summary :

As Filipino website  Developer I make sure I can learn new technology, new software and new features for open source..and make sure you will have knowledge to integrate all the possible new software..Attend seminars and workshops, always read news about new tips and tricks in website development and make flexible (all can do).
